A very special THANK YOU goes out to the following KCBXnet volunteers and contributors:

Ray Miklas & Mentors to the Rescue! Ray Miklas & Mentors to the Rescue! When a KCBXnet subscriber needs more computer help than we can provide over the phone, volunteer Ray Miklas steps in. As the Volunteer Mentor Coordinator, Ray sends a techie Mentor volunteer to the subscribers home to help out, or people can bring their computers in to our office.

In the beginning, Ray says, 'the Mentors responded to one or two problems each day, so we were very busy.' Thanks to changes in technology and help from customer support, that number has dropped to about three per month.

When he's not helping out around KCBXnet, Ray volunteers with the San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society as its webmaster. He's also a founding member of SLObytes (a group of PC users in the local area), and currently serves as its president. You might also see Ray at a California Rare Fruit Growers meeting or in his orchard tending his plum and apple trees.
